What is your favorite aspect of writing? Dialogue? Setting? Narrative? Conflict?
For me, writing dialogue is my favorite aspect. This has probably developed as a result of my screenwriting days in the late 70s 80s and early 90s. Dialogue seems to flow out of me as I’m thinking of conversations no matter where I am. My manuscripts usually have less narrative then dialogue.
How do you choose setting for your plot? Similar or vary?
I choose similar settings. In Gemini the setting is Brooklyn, New York Manhattan, New York and down here where I live in Citrus County Florida. However because Citrus County is rather small I fictionalized it. Khaos Rules is set in New York City, predominately in the areas we lived in Brooklyn, and other areas in Brooklyn that I’ve been familiar with as well as in Manhattan.
Describe your writing day using six words.
Writing, editing, rewriting, creating plots, writing.
WOW! That was my shortest blog ever! Mainly because I’m so busy creating my manuscript, but also because my answers were succinct!
